What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations are free up to 72 hours before arrival, by 15:00 local time.
Direct bookings (via our website or reservations office): Contact our team at info@walterraleighhotel.com or call +353 (0)24 92011.
Third-party bookings (e.g. Booking.com, Expedia): Please contact the booking site directly. We are unable to modify or cancel third-party reservations.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in: From 3:00 PM
Check-out: By 12:00 Noon
Can I check in early or check out late?
Early check-in: Available, but not guaranteed. You can register at reception, store your luggage, and we’ll notify you once your room is ready.
Late check-out: May be requested at check-in and is subject to availability.
Can I store luggage?
Yes, complimentary luggage storage is available at reception.
What bed types are available in each room?

Junior Suite
Family Room (Please contact us directly for specific bed configurations.)
Is there air-conditioning?
No, but fans are provided in all rooms.
Do you offer triple rooms?
Yes, triple rooms are available. Please book directly via phone or email.
What amenities are in the room?
Hairdryer: Yes
Iron & Ironing Board: Available on request
Fridge: Not in-room, but we can store medication in our kitchen fridge upon request
Do windows open in the rooms?
Yes, but they open partially for guest safety.
Do you have wheelchair-accessible rooms?
Yes. These rooms include grab rails in bathrooms and walk-in showers for easier access.


Do you have a gym or leisure centre?
We don’t have a gym or leisure centre, but we’re located directly across from the beach and eco boardwalk — perfect for scenic walks and fresh sea air. Also just a short distance from the hotel is Aura Leisure centre.
Is parking available?
Yes, we offer complimentary guest parking at the rear of the hotel (subject to availability). Additional off-street parking is also available nearby.
Do you have EV charging points?
We don’t currently have EV chargers on-site, but there are several nearby options:
ESB Charging Station – Dolphin’s Place, Youghal
Lidl EV Charger – Mill Rd, Greencloyne, Youghal
GOcharge Station – Redbarn, Youghal
Do you offer laundry service?
Yes. Simply place your laundry bag outside your room before 7:00 AM. Items are sent offsite and returned the same evening. Note: No service is available on Sundays or Bank Holidays.
Is the hotel pet-friendly?
We only accept Guide Dogs.
What is your wedding policy?
We host just one wedding per day to ensure each celebration receives our full attention. Please note: we do not facilitate preparations for weddings taking place elsewhere.
Do you accept AMEX cards?
Yes, we accept American Express. A 2% surcharge applies to help offset processing fees. If you have any questions, our team will be happy to assist.
