Important information for guests staying with us during the COVID-19 emergency

For those of our guests that have stayed with us before you will be aware of our professional approach to hygiene and housekeeping throughout the property. With this in mind we have introduced a number of protocols that will further increase the health and safety of our guests and staff.

During this current health emergency we have implemented a unique but important approach to the occupancy of our guest rooms. When you arrive at the Walter Raleigh Hotel you can rest assured that nobody other than our highly trained and experienced housekeepers have entered your room within the last 36hrs. We have introduced this important protocol of sealing each room after it is vacated so that we protect our staff and future guests from any exposure to Covid-19. I am sure you will appreciate that this move, while limiting the availability of rooms, will greatly reduce the risks.

To allow you to relax more and observe social distancing we will ask you to reserve your table for breakfast, lunch and dinner in order to avoid a queue.

Your room rate will allow you to cancel or change your booking without any fee up to 48hrs before your arrival date; we want you to be comfortable and confident in your choice to visit the Walter Raleigh Hotel.

We have removed the Guest information folder from each room however if you download the Youghal App to your phone, you will be able to access everything that Youghal has on offer. The app is available on the App Store or Google Play just visit and scroll down to the Youghal app and select.

Your room will be supplied with tissues, sanitising hand wipes, face masks and disposable gloves which you are welcome to take with you on departure.

Unfortunately access to our nearby leisure centre will not be available for the foreseeable future.

On arrival you will receive the same great welcome from our staff, some things will never change, but your check-in and check-out will be contactless. Payment will have been processed from your card 48hrs before your arrival. Your room key cards will have been prepared and sealed in advance of your arrival.

We will continue to engage and monitor all developments relating to COVID-19, we remain committed to providing a safe environment for our guests and staff.
